Ministry description
Stephen Bahago serves as the Field Director of Word of life Fellowship Nigeria. He coordinates our ministry and serves our missionaries in Nigeria, Chad & Niger. He is passionate about sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and equipping young leaders for discipleship. He is married to his wife Eglah bahago and together they have four children.
About Stephen
I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior at the age of 9 through my dad. I struggled with the challenges associated with being a pastor’s kid and strayed when I was in high school. I rededicated my life to God in 12th grade (1994). I grew up experiencing a healthy family relationship where love and sharing was the norm. I received four years of Bible training at Kagoro Bible School in Kaduna. I served in the church for 3 years as a youth pastor, and got a degree in Christian education at Seminary. I also served in a secondary school in Jos as a house parent, teacher and a Christian counselor and joined WOL in 2006
About Eglah
I was born in a Christian family but my parents got separated when I was almost three. With my dad’s remarriage, things got so difficult as a growing child but God allowed that to happen so I can turn to Him at an early age. Through the study of God's word and seeking comfort in the Bible I understood I needed Jesus in my life, so at the age of nine I dedicated my life to Christ. My life has change since then and I have experienced wonderful relationship with God with a living hope of His glory just as it is written in Colossians 1:27 "To them God has chosen to make known among Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory".
Colossians 1:28-29 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.
